昆汀.格拉夫顿是澳大利亚国立大学克劳福德公共政策学院教授,水经济学、环境和政策中心(CWEEP)主任,联合国教科文组织水经济学和跨界水治理主席,澳大利亚社会科学院院士,澳大利亚农业和资源经济协会会长。还担任粮食、能源、环境和水网络 (
FE2W)主任、政策论坛网站主编和全球水论坛执行主编。曾任澳大利亚资源与能源经济局首席经济学家兼基金会执行总监。已在经济学和生命科学等领域的世界顶级期刊发表学术论文约150篇,撰写著作章节44篇,出版专著或合著17部。曾在哈佛、斯坦福、牛津等大学发表主旨演讲。

Presenter Biography
Quentin Grafton is Professor of Economics, UNESCO Chair in Water Economics and Transboundary Water Governance and Director of the Centre for Water Economics, Environment and Policy at the Crawford School of Public Policy at the Australian National University. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia and President of the Australasian Agricultural and Resource Economics Society. He also serves as the Director of the Food, Energy, Environment and Water Network, and Editor in Chief of Policy Forum.net as well as Executive Editor of the Global Water Forum. Quentin previously served as Chief Economist and Foundation Executive Director of the Australian Bureau of Resources and Energy Economics. He is also the Convenor of the Geneva Actions on Human Water Security and has served in various advisory roles. Quentin has published around 150 scholarly articles in some leading journals in economics and life sciences, 44 chapters in books and 17 edited or co-authored books. He has presented keynotes at Harvard, Stanford, Oxford, etc.
Brief Abstract
The presentation reviews the key linkages and also risks in the context of food and water from a global perspective. Possible pathways to respond to these challenges are discussed, particularly in the context of resilience management and decision-making.
