Lecture Synopsis:
Steineger will specialize in explaining to foreign audiences: "American Government & Contemporary Politics" from the view of a veteran political insider and practitioner, and the viewpoint of the "real" America, not Washington or New York. He has twice been a Fulbright awardee, and taught classes and given lectures in multiple countries.
Specifically, he will discuss:

-what are goals or Republican party
-what are goals of Democrat Party
-what are current issues of interest for American people
-Questions & Answers for students.
Speaker Biography:
Kansas State Senator Chris Steineger, (ret), Kansas City, was elected 16 years 1996-2012. He served in both political parties: Democrat and later Republican. He has experience at all three levels of American government, including:
FEDERAL- Capitol Hill staffer in Washington, D.C.;
STATE- as a tax auditor with the Kansas Department of Revenue; and,
LOCAL- Assistant in the City Managers office in Kansas City.
He has researched and debated many issues including abortion, gay rights, guns, gambling, taxation, business incentives, education funding, health care insurance, banking regulation, internet privacy, crime & punishment, alcohol production & regulation, highway construction, voting rights & regulation.
Steineger is a global traveler & learner who has visited more than 50 countries including western & eastern Europe, the middle east, south east Asia, China, Japan, Taiwan, Mexico, India, Israel, Turkey, Azerbaijan, & Cuba.
