Founded in 2000, the School of Public Policy and Management of Tsinghua University (Tsinghua SPPM) is a leading school in China that tops National Ranking and is committed to becoming a world-class institute of public administration (PA).

Tsinghua SPPM has a diverse, interdisciplinary faculty team with more than 60 outstanding faculty members who all have overseas experiences of study and research. And it has four research institutes and over twenty research centers, focusing on the major national strategic needs and solving practical problems in social fields, such as the fields of politics and public policy, public management, social organization and social governance, international development and global governance.

Tsinghua SPPM offers Ph.D., MA and professional MPA degrees in English and Chinese, as well as a series of teaching and training programs such as undergraduate minor in administration, leadership training, and so forth. In the fourth round of national first-class discipline assessment, Tsinghua University’s discipline of Public Administration was awarded A+. Its MPA education was also awarded A+ in the first national professional degree assessment in 2018. And its MPA program was the first internationally certified public management master's program by the Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration (NASPAA) outside the United States in 2013. In 2022, the MPA program became the first program in China to complete the second round of NASPAA Accreditation.

Global Search for Professors / Associate Professors / Assistant Professors.

Discipline Direction I: Public administration and policy

Mainly research in public administration, public policy, emergency management, anti-corruption governance and the modernization of national governance system and capacity. Capable of teaching the main courses of Public Administration, Public Policy, Political Science and Public Economics.

Discipline Direction II: National governance and global governance

Mainly research in global governance, national governance and social governance (including digital governance). Capable of teaching the main courses of Globalization and Governance, Foreign Strategy and Policy, Development Theory and Practice, Sociology and Social Policy.

Position Requirements

1. Obtain doctor’s degree, postdoctoral research experience is preferred or have a formal teaching or research experience in college or university, scientific research institution or corporate R&D institution (more than two years).

2. Qualified for the needs of cultivating international talents and offering basic and special courses in Chinese/English in related fields.

3. Scholars with special achievements and extensive international academic influence recognized by international peers.

4. Sound in body and mind, decent and truthful, with good moral character, and with good team-work spirit.
