On June 6th, Mr. David Dollar, US Treasury’s Economic and Financial Emissary to China, visited the School of Public Policy and Management and gave a lecture titled “China’s Rebalancing: Lessons from East Asian Economic History”.
The presentation drew some facts from the phases of rapid growth in Japan, South Korea and Taiwan, and examined China’s rebalancing challenges in light of those earlier experiences.
Prof. Wang Feng, Director of the Brookings-Tsinghua Center for Public Policy, moderated the lecture. Over 50 students from SPPM and other schools attended the lecture and had a thorough discussion with Mr. David Dollar.
