In recent days, China Renmin University Press Co., Ltd held the ‘Nation’s Future and Scholar’s Pursuit’ conference of Professor Hu An’gang’s writings symposium. Professor Hu An’gang, Director of Institute for Contemporary China Studies at Tsinghua University , will publish a new book, named China's Collective Presidential System. The abstract of this book attracted the attendees, who thought he made rapid responses again to China’s reform and practice from the aspect of China studies. "As Chinese scholars, we should be consciously aware that we have more than one billion people. With China’s emerging, what is our pursuit? What is our responsibility? What is our academic stage? I repeatedly asked myself these questions. For us, we should pursue our academic goals with China’s prosperity, and keep up with China's reform and open.” Professor Hu talked about the responsibility of the Chinese scholars on the symposium.
Professor Hu An’gang is one of the first beneficiaries of the restoration of the college entrance exam. Having been grateful for the past 30 years, he has completed a number of research projects for China Studies. In the past two years, he has completed a series of books, such as China: Innovative Green Development, China 2030: Towards a common prosperity, and so on. Last year, regarding the 18th National Congress of the CPC, Hu An’gang and his team conducted a series of studies, has written 17 national reports. Many important results have been absorbed and reflected in the report of 18th National Congress of the CPC. Renmin University of China’s Vice President, Feng Huiling commented, "Combining the future of research and national future is the duty of all scholars. It is valuable that Professor Hu An’gang insists this."
