Abstract:
The thesis is New Puzzles in the Study of Nationalism. It will depart to two lectures: at the first time, will talk about New Puzzles in the Study of Nationalism generally; at the second time will analyze the Paradox of Overseas: the Strange Politics of Different Chinese Clan Groups in Thailand.
Bio of Speaker:
Benedict Anderson(1936- ),born in Kunming Yunnan Province, then moved away from China with his family for China-Japan War. He is one of the most important theorist on nationalism, a famous specialist of East-South Asia study, Chair Professor of Aaron L.Binenjorb(Emeritus)at Institute of International Studies of Cornell University.
