Institute of Taiwan Studies

The ITS was founded in October, 2000 and focuses on Taiwan’s industries, cross-strait relations, economic cooperation across the Taiwan Strait, the political economy of postwar Taiwan’s development, and investment and performance of Taiwan’s firms on mainland China. The Institute hosts master’s and doctoral degree students from the School of Public Policy and Management and other schools and departments at Tsinghua whose degree are related to Taiwan studies. The Institute also sponsors training programs in an effort to aid investors from Taiwan who seek to understand the legal and policy environments on the mainland.
