Established in April 2006, the Center for Science, Technology, and Education Policy (CSTEP) standards as a prominent research and educational center at Tsinghua University. CSTEP is also one of the Soft Science Research Bases authorized by the Ministry of Education (MOE). CSTEP has a dual mission: nurturing future leaders in public policy research and management, and offering expertise as a think tank to advise both the central and local governments on science, technology and education policies in China.
CSTEP pursues this mission through five key research areas: public policy theory, intelligent society governance, innovation for a sustainable prosperity, quantitative studies on policy document, and educational economy and management. Over the years, CSTEP has garnered a strong academic reputation and significant social influence through its theoretical research, practical insights, and talent development initiatives.
