Historical Background
The Institute of 21st Century Development, Tsinghua University was established in 1996. It is Tsinghua University’s institution that conducts academic research regarding strategic development and public policies in the 21st century. Since its establishment, the Institute not only produced a lot of independent public policy research with significant influence, but also educated and trained many talents in the field.
Purpose and Mission
The purpose of the Institute is to form a top-tier academic think-tank. Its mission is to provide original, valuable, and applicable research outcomes through in-depth, systematic, and complete studies on the important issues in the public areas including public policy, state governance, and global open economy.
Structure and Organization
The Management Committee of the Institute is decision-making body, and the Academic Committee of the Institute is at the helm of academic matters. Under the guidance of Management Committee the dean undertakes the daily management of the Institute.
