As China’s best university, Tsinghua University has world-renowned reputation in recent years. For 2015-2016 year, Tsinghua is ranked 26 by QS world university ranking. The previous royal garden campus is also selected one of the ten most beautiful campuses in the world by Forbes, and the only one in Asia. The School of Public Policy and Management at Tsinghua University has constantly served China’s development by educating and cultivating prospective leaders from not only China but also throughout the world. Launched in 2007, the Master of Public Administration in International Development (MID) degree program is completely taught in English. It is intended to prepare students with a strong academic and practical foundation to become professionals of Chinese and international development. The program is the only Chinese member of the Global Master’s of Development Practice (MDP) program network which has been initially supported by the McArthur Foundation. Two program tracks, International development and Chinese public affairs, provide 30 course selections with unique field training in order to enable students to study and experience China’s development in theory and practice. So far there have been 213 students from more than 52 different nations choosing this program as their new career starting point. Our alumni are playing active roles in governmental agencies, NGOs, media, enterprises, as well as international organizations in China and around the world.
