On the evening of November 12th, annual “Mr.SPPM” competition was held in the auditorium at SPPM. “Mr. SPPM” is a fun gathering and a tradition hosted by SPPM every year to celebrate Singles Day for the bachelors at SPPM and to allow everyone to have fun together.

SPPM’s Associate Dean Ms. MENG Bo, Assistant Party Secretary Ms.XIE Jin, Director of Chinese Students Office, LAN Yuxin, and Deputy Director, Ms. LIU Jinwen attended the event to support all participants. For the first time, 3 MID students joined the activity as candidates who competed with 5 Chinese students. Steve from Canada, Ryan from Korea, and Van from Thailand did cosplay, played the piano and guitar as talent shows. Other MID, MIDG and IMPA students also came to support their pioneers. After careful selection, 2015 Ph.D. Candidate, LIAN Wei and 2015 MID student Ryan Shin both won the title of Mr. SPPM for the year. It was the first time in SPPM history that MID student, even international student won the title, which was considered as honor for the whole international students group. This year, “Mr. SPPM” competition also included Chinese MPA students. Thus, 2015 MPA student, SONG Zhaopeng also won a title called Mr. MPA.

Mr. SPPM has been a tradition and a highly appraised event since 2002. This event already elected eight high quality and charming bachelors since its first event, thus obtained more anticipation from the crowd during the selection process. The event had great performances from each participant and fun games that the audiences participated.
