With the holidays here again, the School of Public Policy and Management repeated its tradition of holding activities for the international students enrolled in the MID (Master of International Development) and IMPA (International Master of Public Administration) programs.
The season kicked off with the lighting of the Christmas tree on the afternoon of Monday, December 10th. Dean Xue Lan and Assistant Dean Meng Bo greeted the students, accompanied by MID Program Director Liu Zhilin, and the office staff.
After a brief yet kind address by the Dean, the tree was plugged in to reveal a rainbow of colorful lights, rivaled only by the diversity of people in the room who hailed from over two dozen countries.
Christmas is not a traditional holiday in China and the holidays may make some students particularly homesick so SPPM tries its best to make its students feel welcome.
After a start like this, these holidays are bound to be happy ones!
