The MID Program Office is very glad to announce the new assistantship offered by Chinese Institute of Engineering Development Strategies (CIEDS) for fall 2013 incoming students.
The research assistantship positions, offered by CIEDS, Tsinghua University, is geared to better help excellent MID students to achieve their research and professional goals in two-year study of international development and Chinese public affairs. All students who apply and are accepted into the MID 2013 Program are qualified and may submit applications for this assistantship. The application process will be announced later.
Chinese Institute of Engineering Development Strategies (CIEDS) was co-founded by the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) and Tsinghua University in April, 2011, which affiliates to the School of Public Policy and Management. By linking China’s most prestigious academy to the nation’s top-ranked university, CIEDS has embarked on a path to become a national think tank that supports the strategic development of science and technology in China. The Institute, under the mission of promoting scientific development and transforming the pattern of national economic growth, is dedicated to support the decision-making process of national innovation and engineering development, by providing strategic and visionary consultative advice. It focuses on several major domains involving strategic engineering innovations and social economic development, including (but not limited to) urbanization studies, energy & mineral resources, environmental policies, and emerging technologies and industries.
