The School of Public Policy and Management at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China is excited to announce that our Master of Public Administration in International Development (MID) Program will start to accept applications on September 1 for fall 2015 enrollment.
Founded in 2001, SPPM is always pursuing the goal to become a world-class institution that actively engages in teaching, research, and consulting in global public affairs. In the past 13 years, we have made some achievements. Last year, SPPM’s MPA program has become first outside the U.S. to receive NASPAA accreditation.
Launched in 2007, the Master of Public Administration in International Development (MID) degree program at Tsinghua University’s School of Public Policy and Management is a two-year Master’s Degree program designed to prepare students with a strong academic and practical foundation to become active global citizens and professionals of China’s development. For the past seven years, we have 170 students from 45 countries. The newly updated MID program highlights the Chinese Public Affairs track with the aim to train China specialists.
According to the previous seven MID classes, international students could benefit from four aspects by joining this program:
1. A master’s degree from one of China’s top universities;
2. Master’s of Development Practice (MDP) program network;
3. International development/Chinese public affairs track to understand sustainable development and China’s development knowledge and practice;
4. “Practice Component” including internship, field trips and guest lecture series;
