From July 7 to 14, MDP Executive Director, YIN Chengzhi as the representative of School of Public Policy and Management, Tsinghua University, attended Global Association of Master’s in Development Practice’s sixth summit at Cairns, Australia.
This summit was co-organized by MDP Secretariat and James Cook University, focusing on achievements made in the past year and important plans for the next year. Important topics include cooperation of field training, innovation of Global Classroom, development of case studies, advising of career service, and issues of sustainable development, which were all discussed deeply by MDP programs. As the member of MDP Academic Steering Committee, Professor YIN did the presentation on the topic of MID curriculum innovation. In addition, attendees visited Daintree Forest to know local environment protection and conservation, which was James Cook University’s research base.
Until July, 2014, Global Association of Master’s in Development has totally 27 universities and institutions of three types. SPPM’s MID program was selected by the Master’s of Development Practive (MDP) program in 2009 as one of the first ten universities in the world.
