From June7 to 10, MDP Executive Director, YIN Chengzhi as the representative of School of Public Policy and Management, Tsinghua University, attended Global Association of Master’s in Development Practice’s seventh summit at Paris, France.
This summit was co-organized by MDP Secretariat and Sciences Po. The attendees were representatives of 32 universities or institutions, from 27 countries, who aimed to gain more understanding and promote the cooperation among the network. The main topics of the summit include governance and development of the association, the new Global Classroom for 2015, curriculum and practice innovation, IFAD program application, and so on. Professionals from Science Po, Colombia University, and University of Florida made the presentation regarding sustainable development. In addition, student representatives from Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro, Brazil also reported their field training experience during the summit.
Global Association of Master’s in Development Practice is the network based on Master’s Development Practice. So far, there are over 30 universities and institutions that join the network all over the word. In 2009, MID program was selected as one of the ten universities, and the only university in China by MDP, created by the MacArthur Foundation in the United States.
