The Chinese Moon Festival is coming this Sunday and I'm sure you're all excited about the incoming break. The Moon Festival is a Chinese lunar festival which comes at a time when the moon is regarded the roundest with a perfect circle. In China, people celebrate the Moon Festival by having gatherings and reunions with family and friends and eating Moon cakes.
To celebrate the Moon Festival this year (which may be the first or second one that you have in China), we'll hold a "Moon Festival Celebration Party" to share the joy together. You're warmly invited to come and eat moon cakes with us. To make it a fun event, we'll also have some games to play to learn about Chinese culture and tradition. A brief agenda on the activities for the celebration:
1. Chinese student(s) introduce the origins and beautiful stories behind the Moon Festival;
2. Learning Chinese songs which are about the Moon;
3. Games: Riddles guess, baloon game, etc. Please also share some interesting ideas with us!!
In the mean time, you're very much encouraged to present some performances (singing, dancing, talk show etc.) which can be local of your country or others. We're also looking for a student MC to host the event. It'll be fun driven and light-hearted in nature, so no pressure!
Time: 18:30-19:30pm, Sept. 28, Friday
Venue: Student Lounge, SPPM
