As the MID program is fundamentally development practice-oriented,  field training is considered as a core component of the MDP curriculum and an  essential part of the learning process for students. The field training is  designed to help students explore development experience and challenges  countries are facing. Because of the unique location of Tsinghua’s MDP program,  the field training component of the MID curriculum emphasizes the opportunities  for students to observe and engage in China’s development practice and  challenges. These kinds of training will provide students with real-world  development experiences from different perspectives, and help students form  their own understanding of a country’s development. Students can also test their  knowledge and skills they have learned in previous courses, as well as building  up their own working experience in development practices.
